🧪 Scan GS1 barcodes
When your reagents or chemicals arrive with GS1 barcodes, there’s no need to enter lot info manually anymore. Just scan the label and LabCollector will recognize the product and automatically fill in the lot number.
It’s quick, accurate, and especially useful when handling large shipments.

🛒 eMolecules now inside LabCollector
Search the eMolecules catalog, build carts, and create POs, without leaving LabCollector.

🖨️ Print labels instantly with DYMO
LabCollector now includes a direct print button for DYMO labels! no need to open a preview or click through extra steps. Just press print and you’re done.
This feature requires the DYMO software and SDK to be installed.
🔬 So if you are a technician preparing samples for daily analysis, you can now label tubes in just a click, saving time and simplifying the routine.
📦 More flexible storage management
Two great changes in how you manage storage:
Staff+ users can now access and edit common box storage if the admin enables it. This avoids bottlenecks and lets your team move faster.
The storage browser now limits the display to 20 boxes per page to keep things loading quickly, especially useful for large inventories.
🔬 So finally, a research team with multiple users working in the same freezers no longer needs to wait for admin access to organize samples!
🗓️ Task tracking built into LabCollector
If you’re using EventCal add-on, your to-do lists now appear directly inside LabCollector, in the top-left menu. That means no more jumping between tabs or forgetting what needs to be done.
🔬 You can now sees project-specific action items without leaving the system.
🐭 Smarter cage tracking
You can now assign a custom cage ID to each cage, ideal for facilities already using barcoded labels or internal identifiers.
This makes it easier to match what’s on the cage physically with what’s in the system, and helps when searching or tracking across the animal plan.
🔬 Example: A university facility using facility-assigned cage codes can now search directly by those IDs inside LabCollector.
🧾 Quotes in POM are now more complete
The Purchase Order Manager (POM) has been improved with two useful additions:
A description field so you can add context or notes.
Your filters in POM are now saved! no more reselecting your view every time.
